Our client has a locum need for a Newborn Nursery Nurse Practitioner. Duties involve: Attend deliveries; serve as team leader in the case of neonatal resuscitation; coordinate transport for newborns in need of higher level of care; daily rounding including management and discharges from Snuggery, our newborn nursery. Average inpatient peds service during a shift of 3 patients and a newborn nursery with 6-8 patients.
Nurse Practitioner with Neonatal, Pediatric or Family Medicine background with preferred newborn nursery and NICU experience. Must have NY license in hand at time of submission and be NRP certified. Prefer prior travel experience but not required.
